I first ran across this idea on Jesser.org sometime last year, and immediately decided I wanted to do it as well. I have been putting off starting ever since. Before writing this entry I did a little bit of research, and it appears that the idea was originated by a fellow named Michael Green of Triplux. (Disclaimer - it was a very little bit of research, and this is simply my attempt to credit the right person. If you know something I don't, please let me know and I'll correct it.)

So anyway. The idea is to create a list of 101 things that you would like to accomplish within the next 1001 days (approximately 3 years). This really appeals to me, both as a way of setting goals for myself that I might not have thought of otherwise, and as a sort of clearinghouse for things I have wanted to do for a long time but have not gotten around to. As for a starting date - I have already bypassed my two original ideal start dates, January 1 and March 7 (my birthday). Third time's the charm, or at least here's hoping - I plan to set my official start date as June 1, 2006. This date coincides with several other events and will be personally significant, so it makes sense.

Progress will be noted by striking through items on the list when they are completed. I expect that some of these items will warrant some discussion. In those cases, I will hyperlink them to the corresponding entry on DreamsInRed.

Now, without further adieu, the list.
